Three brothers in Christ were slaughtered in Turkey just over a week ago. Maybe you've read about the event, or heard on the news. It has rocked Turkey in a strong way. It has inspired some, brought fear to others. For another brother in Istanbul (David Byle) it led to his being jailed for a time this week.

Here's what some government officials are thinking:

“Missionaries are more dangerous than terror organizations,” Niyazi Guney, Ministry of Justice director general of laws, commented only a day after the murders, according to the daily Milliyet newspaper.

Does the widow of German missionary Tilman Geske look like a dangerous terrorist? How about her three kids?. By the way, she has stated that she has forgiven the murderers.

Pray for Turkey. Pray for us to be fearless and to follow in the steps of these men in their steadfast witness unto death, and their wives steadfast faith unto forgiveness. I am humbled by them, and challenged.
